ABOUT SADIE

New York based indie pop vocalist Sadie’s debut EP Waiting For The Moment was released Dec 6th, 2011. For Sadie the moment is now with six songs inspired by 60’s girl group pop and updated with a modern singer/songwriter radio flair led by the single For All You Do. Packed with melodies and hooks, Sadie’s EP features instrumental assistance and production from Ted Mason known for his work as a member of multi-platinum group Modern English (Melt With You) as well as president of Mi5 Recordings. Truly a New York story Sadie initially met Mason while working at a popular Upper West Side restaurant that Mason frequented.

Sadie recalls, “we met while I was working at the French restaurant Nice Matin and soon after I began touring as a backing vocalist for La La Brooks of The Crystals (Da Doo Ron Ron). When I came back from the tour Ted kept saying ‘I gotta work with you’. One thing led to another and we ended up recording my debut EP a few months later.” Mason says of the project “I get a thrill out of developing and working with new artists. I have known Sadie for years and I had time between projects to jump in and give her a creative hand in developing a unique recording, which I hope will bring her lots of success…”

Recorded at an energetic pace in seven days at the Cutting Room NYC, the songs benefit from a live spontaneous feel. Speaking on the debut EP Sadie says “The lyrics are cheeky and flirty. They are about living life, letting go and enjoying the ride”.

Sadie: Singer. Musician. Happy as a clown. Wild for my friends. Lover of laughter. Silly almost always. Obsessed with The Wizard of Oz. A traveler. Slightly inappropriate. Champagne at breakfast. Dance parties in the shower. Love my family. Girlie sleepovers. Swimming with my dog. Cupcake fights. Snowboarding, even though I’m pretty awful at it. No worries and no regrets. NEW YORK!
